New School PhD Candidate interested in the following:

What effect does the Internet have on women and assisted reproductive technology? Has the growth of the Internet given women more choices in reproductive medicine?

If anyone has donated eggs or obtained eggs through the Internet, I would be grateful if you would be willing to share your experience.

Dear Mriddell,

Both of my sons were born with the help of assisted reproduction. The internet is an important information resource. The eggs were supplied by me, both children were carried by another woman, a gestational surrogate so I guess that makes me the egg donor but this was done through an agency, not the internet.

Hope this helps. Best of luck with your study.

Warmest regards,
Lenore
