J was born 7/30/04. I missed his birth by 1day. We went straight from the airport to the hospital.

"L" breastfed him and I took over on day 3. It was difficult at first but with the nurse consultant he latched on .

My milk has increased, but I do not have a full supplu. At first O was able to feed him with on the Lact-aid , then I think he must of had nipple confusion, so I switched to the Lactaid after 4 days and he sucking better.

I am extremely busy getting his passport and birth certificate thus I do not have a lot of time to pump , maybe once a day.

Do I still have to pump since I am using the Lact-aid ? My milk is fine in fact it has increade.

Yasta,

Wow! Fantastic news! Congratulations!!!!

I suppose it would be better for your supply if you pumped after feeding your son, but frankly for me it became too much of a hassle with caring for a newborn and running after passport etc. shortly after Emma was born.

I'm still feeding her with the lact-aid and she is doing really well. She'll be two months on Sunday.

Love,
Chris

Ladies, as you both know pumping is essential to a good supply but sometimes it isn't possible. Don't sweat it. Get through the stressful time you are in and then see if you can add a few pumping sessions in after feeding. It will help even then. The more stimulation the more milk you produce. You both are doing great. Congrats Yasta on your new arrival. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
