Dr. Alan E. Beer - 06/06/06 04:02 AM
Dear Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I report the recent passing of Alan E. Beer, MD. http://repro-med.net/about/biobeer.php
Dr. Beer was one of the giants in the field of recurrent pregnancy loss. He spent the last 30 years helping couples to conceive and maintain pregnancies that they likely would have lost without his guidance.
Dr. Beer pioneered the use of heparin and baby aspirin which is only now becoming more popular. He was one of the first to suggest the use of Paternal Leukocyte Transfer (LIT) and Intravenous Immunogammaglobulin (IVIG).
Dr. Beer's work will be continued by his colleagues at the Alan E. Beer Center for Immunology and Genetics http://www.repro-med.net/
I know his wife and family appreciate that our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
