Has anyone ever tried or heard of the Easy Expression Bustier or Halter? It is a bra like contraption you can wear while pumping to free up your hands. I would love to hear some feedback (pos or neg) before I order one. OR hear any other suggestions anyone has to freeing up my hands while I pump (especially at my desk at work).

Kristi

I used one called Made by Moms Pumping Band. Here is a link http://store.babycenter.com/product/feeding/breastfeeding/pumps_and_accessories/3747used . I LOVED it. It made pumping so much easier. They run about $35.00.

Since I am still pumping with no results, before I start, I message like Dr. Newman and Lenore suggest with cocobutter lotion. When I start to pump and put the cups into place, the lotion acts like a sealant and the cups stay in place after a couple of cycles and I don't have to hold them anymore. Also, I pump during a 30 minute sitcom. When the 2nd commercial comes on after it has started, "times up" which is usually about 15 minutes and I don't have to worry about timing it.

Hi Kristi,

I have both the Easy Expression bustier and the Medela Hands Free Kit and bra. I have found them both to be wonderful.

Best,

Does anyone know the difference between the halter and the bustier? As well, LENORE..... where do you purchase these in Canada?
Thanks,
Punky

The difference is that the halter is sort of like a mini-tube top with slits where your nipples protrude and has a small strap that goes around your neck. The bell of the pump is disconnected from the bottle/connection, placed on your breast and inserted through the hole and then the rest of the connection in reconnected.

The bustier is basically just that...a snug-fitting long bra that can be strapless or not with the same type holes and can be connected in the same fashion as the above. I have found through my LC and friends that the bustier is more for wearing to work under your clothing and the other one is pretty much just for home because it really does not cover all of your breast like the bustier. Lenore has both of them here on the website under products.

Hope that helps,

I may be blind, but I'm not seeing these listed under products. Many of the places are not available for shipping to Canada. I did see some on e-bay, so I might try that.
Thanks,
Punky
