Our Surrogate miscarried today. The doctors said there was no need in a D&C. She is bleeding pretty bad with a lot of clots. She is taking it so hard. When she called me she broke down and was blaming herself. I told her it was not her fault. Nature has a way of taking care of things that are not right. She did not test positive til day 18 .. then she was dry heaving already so bad she busted the vessels in her face. And she has been in bed for 3 days with no energy. I told her it might have implanted to close to her cervix. And was just not agreeing with her body. She never had any problems with her kids. Not MS or anything. I am okay... she on the other hand is taking it really hard. So we will be trying again. If she can emotionally handle a second try

Oh Nona, I am so sorry. I hope your friend will feel better soon. At least you are close and can comfort each other.

Nona-Sorry to hear this. Please keep the faith and know every thing happens for a reason, although hard to understand some times. I will keep you all in my prayers and hope your next try is successful.

Dear Nona,

I am so sorry to hear this sad news dear friend. As a mother who lost 8 pregnancies to recurrent miscarriage, I understand the loss and devastation that you must be experiencing.

A wise clergyman once told me that our lost children are angels whose spirits are still with us but whose physical bodies are not yet ready to receive them. I like to think that our children are playing together someplace in heaven or something like that and just waiting for their turn on the slide back to earth and to us.

My thoughts and prayers and my most profound sympanthy are with you at this time.

Sincerely,

Lenore Goldfarb, Ph.D.,CCC,IBCLC

I'm so sorry, Nona. And I know your surrogate took it as a crushing blow. For them, all pregnancies are successful so it's something they can't even fathom. For us, we've been through it all so another m/c is very, very sad but we can take it and still persist.

I'm praying for your surrogate mother - to heal from this episode and to muster the courage to continue.

We will be trying again in January. Our surrogate did not want to try again. So we have a new one. We were going to try this month but to much going on with holidays. So keep your fingers crossed for us.
