Hi, I am going to be receiving a baby on May, 20th. I have breastfed successfully several times. Because of inconsistency in the due date we were given, I didn't get a lot of notice. I have been on Yasmin for about 31 days, I haven't gotten my domperidone yet although I've waiting for about 2 weeks. Now that I have a pretty sure date for the c-section, what would the best thing be for me to do now? Do I quit the bc pill and start pumping? I only have about 10 days before the baby comes. My breasts have been sore and very tender the whole time I have been on the pill. Please give me some guidance, Thanks Tami /

I would at least start the domperidone before you start pumping. The bcp's by themselves don't really do anything. You need the combo to prepare the breasts. I hope you get the domperidone soon and then I would stay on it at least until the baby comes. Then if your breasts feel ready, stop the bcp's and start pumping then. Hopefully your supply will build quicker if you do some of the protocol.

So I have been on the protocol for a month now, and boobs hurt like crazy, and have definately gotten bigger. I have a month left of yasmin, should I go another month, or should I start pumping tommarrow? My son 19 months old already, and I'm getting sick of this milk intolerance that he has.

You've been on the combo of the Yasmin and the domperidone for one month?

If you feel like you've seen changes, then I would say stop the bcp's and start pumping. Don't get frustrated if it doesn't happen right away. It took me a few days to see drops. It helped to look at a picture of a baby (crying baby even better).
