When the new baby arrives, should I consider any diseases it may have contracted from the mom. I know when you donate milk, you get tested so you don't infect your milkbaby. But what do you do so you don't get infected by your adopted baby. And, since I will be tandem nursing, I don't want my son to get infected. My LC said this isn't really an issue, but I would like to know what other people have considered/done. Copy Link to Clipboard

I agree with your LC it isn't an issue. Baby isn't passing anything onto you through breastfeeding.
