Hello again! While I'm thinking about breast pumps, I just wanted to know if anyone has tried the Ameda Elite breast pump, with or without the Flexshield Areola stimulators? If so, how did it work for you in your induced lactation/relactation efforts?

That pump is not intended or recommended for inducing lactation I would go with one of the hospital grade pumps.

Lalle,

The Ameda Elite is the big hospital grade pump. It can be used to induce. I bought one and was not impressed. On its highest speed is very slow compared to the Medela pumps.

Wow, how slow? Is there anywhere I can compare it to a Lactina? If I can't somehow wrangle a PJ's Comfort pump, I was thinking about renting an Elite.

Oh thanks for clearing that up Nona. I used a Lactina and did not like it at all. I went with the PIS from Medela.
