Hi

I need input asap. I have to travel in December, for 5 day max. It looks impossible for me to travel with my daughter. Besides being brokenhearted, I only have a lactina to drag along.

My question is this: Has anyone that is adoptive BF used a medela swing pump? I get about 2-3 oz a feed but it's not pouring out.
I need something smaller to take on the plane.

Any ideas would be helpful. My husband is now in Oregon, we have limited resources and time constraints since he has to leave on Tuesday to return here ( Bolivia)

There is a swing pump for sale for a reasonable price on craigs list.

Linda I haven't used one. I did look it up on the Medela site and seems like a viable option for you. I wouldn't use it full time but for your trip it should be fine.
You might look at the Harmony Manual pump too for the trip. Much cheaper and I hear it works pretty well. It has a let down mode too. http://comfortfirst.com/p-27819-medela-harmony-manual-breast-pump-for-breast-feeding-mothers.aspx

Maybe you could get two smile and pump simultaneously. I believe Babies R Us carries them.

I have the harmony manual hand pump. Its comparable to the avent Isis pump. But not near the parts.

I actually felt like the Harmony worked better on me than the Lactina.

I think the swing is just for occasional pumpings.. There is another one called the free style. Its more for everyday pumping. But its over 300
