My Yasmin and domperidone are on order and I have some questions for any of you who took them. I was wondering what side effects you experienced from them. I was reading about Yasmin and I'm scared now. I should only be on it for 2 months and could use your advice. The domperidone doesn't sound as bad.

thanks,
Tracy

Hey there! Why are you scared? What have you read? I was on Yasmin for 10 months doing the protocol and had no problems. I had some bleeding about 4-6 weeks into the protocol, then some spotting occasionally. The protocol worked for me. I pump about 15-18 oz per day for my 15 month old who drinks her bmilk from a sippy cup (not at the breast).

Forgot to mention: Side effects I had were breast growth, some breast tenderness after a few weeks on the meds. I gained about 5-7 pounds probably a combination of the 2 meds together.

I was on the Yasmin for 8 months the first time and have been on it for 9 months this time. I just had some weight gain (7ish lbs the first time that came off after I stopped the Yasmin and started pumping and bf and 8-10 lbs this time). I do think it was caused more by the yasmin than the domperidone. I hope it comes off as easily this time.

I also have spotted a little this time.

I had success. I exclusively bf my DD for 18 months. Hoping to do it again with this next adoption.

Oh YEAH! It'd definitely worth mentioning that even though I gained 5-7 lbs on the protocol, I lost 10-12 pounds breastfeeding. Incredible! grin
