When should I start to pump? Our baby is due Oct. 25. I have been on meds for 1 week, and my boobs are sore, and they have grown. I can even get a drop of milk manually. So I do not know when I should pump. Maybe I am just over anxious.

Hi! _You are just doing dom and herbs, right? You can start pumping as soon as you want. It is good to begin with just 3-4 times a day, short sessions of maybe 5-10 minutes on low suction. You can gradually over the next month or so work up to 6 times a day. Remember your extra fluids...good luck!!!

I am on domperidone and bcp's. I am taking 20 mgs of dom a day. I wasn't tired or anything so I went ahead and uped the dose from 10 4 times to 20 four times. But I thought if I was getting drops of milk maybe I should go ahead and pump and freeze the milk.

I would wait until the end of september. That would give your breasts the best tissue growth they can get. Then that would give you over 3 weeks of pumping.. If you can squeeze drops out now. You should do good on building your supply in september.
