hello,
Lenore, we have quite a few patients who have C. Diff. We use a potent antibiotic called Flagyl for this. Too bad we cannot give our pt's breastmilk!
Also, my endometriosis pain is 99% gone while on the birth control pill. Funny though, on the domperidone and pumping alone, my pain was much worse. I am almost afraid to go off the protocol and pump for fear the pain will come back again.
I am taking my baby aspirin once a day. I am on Diane 35 and domperidone. Would it help breast develoopment in any way if I added one dose a day of the all natural progesterone cream? Also, what about adding Goats Rue, which is supposed to aid with breast development?
Thanks, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

Welcome to the ask lenore forums!!

Yes. My husband tried the flagyl but unfortunately it had no effect. He had some relief with vancomycin but the c. diff held on mightily until we were able to get rid of it with my breastmilk. I'm very happy to hear that the Diane 35 has caused you some relief from your endometriosis. Many exclusively breastfeeding mothers report a decrease in symptoms from menopause. It is possible that you may find relief as well once you are breastfeeding. We do not recommend the use of progesterone creams along with the protocol as the dosage is diffiult to manage. There is a new bcp that has become available in the US called Yasmin. It contains an additional 1 mg progesterone. This is a different progesterone from the Diane. You may want to discuss it with your doctor. You can find information on Yasmin at this website http://www.yasmin-us.com/home.html

About Goat's rue...the herbs we recommend with the protocols are fenugreek and blessed thistle. Goat's rue can affect blood sugar levels (as does fenugreek) and it is a powerful diuretic. I would leave it off the table for the time being.

Hope this helps. Fondly,
