Hi Everyone! I suffer from recurrent miscarriage (5 all at 7 1/2 weeks). We just found out we are pregnant again and we are pulling out all the stops! I am on baby aspirin, progesterone, and heparin (thanks for the info Lenore!). For the first time, I am not spotting!

I am also on the natural homrone T3. We found thyroid antibodies and are hoping that will help keep my thyroid levels up to support this pregnancy.

Thanks for all the good information on this board and I will keep you posted.

I am just over 4 weeks - long way to go - but at least we have some hope this time!

Heather,

Congrats! Keeping everything crossed for you. Please keep us updated on how you are doing. I know this has to be both exciting and terrifying.

Hugs,
Melissa

Yea Heather!

Congratulations! I am so excited for you and will say a prayer for you and that baby! Also, a tip when doing the heparin shots, use some ice and put it on the spot that you where you are doing the shot, hold it there for a few minutes, do the shot, and then use the ice again. My Genetic Dr. told me this tip and it has cut down on by bruising ten fold! Also, I don't feel the needle at all when it goes in now.

Best ofluck Heather, you are in my prayers.

Thanks Barbi! I am black and blue! Where did you do your shots? We have only done the stomach so far, but I am running out of room.

My husbnad has been doing the shots for me because I am not brave enough yet. We will try the ice tonight!

Also, thanks for the prayers and good wishes!

Wow, you are so lucky that your husband will do them, my husband gets the willies when he looks at the stupid needle! LoL, poor guy.. I started out doing my shots in the lower portion of my stomach, rotating between left and right side, but my belly is getting so big (I am measuring 27 weeks), I am now doing them lower down by my hip bones (well, where they are supposed to be....). My Dr. told me I will have to do them for about a month after Brooke is born as well, so I guess it's a good thing I am used to this <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
