Hi Everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!

We had another ultrasound yesterday and everything is fine! We are at 9w1d. This is huge for us because I ususally miscarry at 7w4d. Thank you for all the positive thoughts and prayers!

My doctor has mentioned stopping the heparin after the first trimester. This makes me nervous. It seems most people who have used heparin stay on it until 37 weeks. Has anyone had an experience with this?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi Heather!

First, Congratulations! I am so happy for you guys and glad that all is going well <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> Regarding the Heparin, both my Dr. and Hemotologist agree that heparin should be continued throughout the pregnancy, and stopped only a day or two before the delivery date, and then started again for a month or so after Brooke is born, as clotting risks are at their highest during and after delivery. I am not sure if this is related to the particular clotting condition that I have or not, but I would definitely check into it.

Take care and keep up update!

Thanks Barbi! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and we are going to talk about it. I would rather be safe than sorry!

I will keep you posted!
