Hi Everyone!!

Well, I had my weekly Dr. appointment today and to our surprise, Brooke has turned completely, is engaged and very low, and I have dialated to just over one centimeter!! This is compared to last week where absolutely nothing was happening and Brooke was breech. Needless to say my dr. and I were both shocked. Last week we schedulded a c-section for next Wed. because she was complete breech and the cord was around her neck, both of my Drs. said there was no way for her to turn. Apparently she found a way. When my Dr. checked me today, she had this kind of surprised look on her face and the first thing she said was "this feels like a head!" She went and got the sonogram machine and sure enough, she is head down and ready to go. She said there is no way for her to turn now since she is engaged. She couldn't tell from her machine if the cord is still wrapped around her neck, but she did a non stress test and the baby is great, very active and her heart rate is perfect, so she isn't worried.

I go back Monday for another check, and we will decide if I need the gel on my cervix, if so, I will have that done wed. and stay in the hospital that night and be induced Thursday Morning. I am kind of hoping she comes this weekend, I would like to know what it means to go into labor by myself. I am kind of curious as to what the 'engaged' part means, is that a good sign?

Thanks all!

Barbi, Wow what great news. Engaged means her head is locked in position. She is ready! I got the miso prostelate pills inserted into my cervix. They ripen you and get you ready for induction. Sperm does the same thing, so as long as it is not against dr.'s orders you could have sex with your husband and that may send you into labor. <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> How great that you don't have to have a C-section after all, babies are amazing at what they can do.
