Yasta,
My 2nd child is due one month after yours = 9/11 via Traditional Surrogacy.

When I adopted my daughter she was 4 months old and had been on the bottle. I found out 10 days before we got her. I started pumping and taking the herbs. I put her to my breast and used a lact-aid supplementer. But I wasn't producing any milk and she was pretty well latched on to her bottle nipple. So after trying for 10 days, I gave up.

This time I have many more months to prepare. I am taking the meds along with the herbs. And I will use a hospital-grade pump 6 weeks ahead of due date. I think this will do the trick for me. I'm looking forward to trying with a newborn.

Welcome to this board,

Thank you so much for welcoming me !

I guess that why you are called Lovey Dovey, how appropiate.

I have an appointment with my OB/GYN next friday so I can get a prescription for the Yasmin BCPs.

Next I plan to order the dompermine meds per the accerated protocol comments.

I was considering buying a double breast pump from ebay. Have you tried them before are they reliable ?

I am anxious to start. So how do you feel nowadays ? I kow you have a two year old, but do you feel physically tired and has there been a weight gain ?

i am sure you will be successful this time <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

I really want to purchase donated breast milk. What are the requirments?

Oh, are you having a boy or girl ?

HI Yasta:
You're in Japan! We have friends in Tokyo. One of these days, we get over there for the grand tour.

I don't know about the breast pumps because I'm a beginner here. I do feel nauseated now from the meds but not to the point of having to vomit. My headaches have stopped (probably more allergy related) and I have small changes to my digestion. I have a to go to the bathroom a little more often. I have also gained weight but I'm eating more right now to try to get back regular meals. (I'm the type that forgets to sit down and eat and find myself starving at the end of the day.) It's hard to make time for yourself when you're taking care of a toddler.

I'm so exciting about our baby that's due 9/11. We don't know yet if it's a boy or a girl. Our T.S. is now at 18 weeks.

Looking forward to sharing this experience with sisters trying the induction, too.

Love,

Ladies, The Pump in Style from Medela is the best double pump out there. Pumping takes some practice and training your body to give milk to a pump is different than giving milk to a baby, so it is important to have a good pump. If they are from a source on ebay that is selling new pumps they should be fine. Look at the sellers record and see what their rating is. Ebay doesn't allow bad sellers to stay so if they have been there awhile they should be reliable. I think I paid right around 250 for my PIS. It was from an online store. I would also suggest getting the hands free bra or cutting holes in a sport bra to stick the horns through. That was the tiring part, holding the horns while pumping. I loved it once I had the hands free.

Hello Yasta,

Welcome! Great to have you here.

Just a thought - have you checked whether domperidone is available in Japan? Maybe you don't even need to order it from NZ but can buy it at a local pharmacy. It is a perfectly common drug in many countries outside the US, usually sold under the brand name motilium. You may or may not need a prescription.

Good luck with your doctor's appointment - I do hope you find her or him supportive of your plans!

Let us know how everything goes for you.

Love,
Chris
