Lenore asked me to post these instructions. Okay to ship your milk the first thing you need to do is setup either a fedex account or an airborne account. Air borne IS cheaper.Get a cooler that is the right size for the amount of milk you are going to ship. If its a small styrofoam cooler. Get some duct tape and run it around the outsides of the cooler. You need to do this to enforce the styrofoam in shipping. Then put the small styro cooler in a box that it fits snuggly.Call and get a pick up time. Make sure you send it next day delivery. You then fill your milk in the cooler...put dry ice on top. close cooler and seal it well. Also seal your box. Mark on your box HUMAN MILK HANDLE WITH CARE And give it to the carrier when they come.
You can also use standard coolers if you have that much milk to ship. Also if any space is extra in the cooler.. pack newspapers to fill the space.
