Nona, WHAT? You are already at 36 weeks? Wow. That flew by. I'm so excited for you. Are you ready? Have you already packed your hospital bags and got the newborn supplies together? This is going to be such a great experience for you. How wonderful!
I'm not too far behind you. We are at 30 weeks today. : )

Hey Nona,
You're THERE!!! Your baby can be born at any time now. By the way, to attach a photo, just post, then click on "I want to preview my post" and the attachment option comes up. It also comes up if you post and then click "edit". There are still a few bugs in the message boards, we're working on them, one of them is to be able to attach something from the get go.
I also have trouble returning to the forum after posting, I have to actually click on the "return to forum" button. All of this has to do with our sudden need to move to a new server. I'm sorry for the incovenience this may be causing.
Fondly,

Her 37 week appointment is tomorrow. We are hoping he will agree to induce her in the next week or so. Her husband has to give a 24 hour notice before he can take a day off from his job. So if they induce we can be there and so can he. Lenore.... The attach file does not come up. So I can't attach anything.. Thought I would let you know

Nona, Maybe the doctor could induce, though just be sure the Little One is baked enough ... you want to go home with her ASAP, not hang around the nursery. Maybe he'll induce at week 38 or 39? We induced three days before our due date, and our GS's water broke upon examination ... she was dilated at 2 cm for 3 weeks! I know how you feel and how hard it is to wait.. Just try to relax and get your rest. How is your production going?
You are in my thoughts and prayers, Christina

She went to her appointment and the doctor had left for the day! They didn't even bother to call and rescedule her appointment. That is so rude! So it will be next friday before she sees the doctor. No visit this week

Nona, You are right that is so rude! You can have her do squats between now and then. Back against the wall deep squats with legs open. Gravity truly help to get things going. Looking forward to hearing your birth story. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Yikes. He better not do that at the birth!
Our surrogate really doesn't want to give birth at the Navy hospital so she is getting the referral up to our city. And if she goes into labor early, she will be able to go to the civilian hospital in her town.
I'd better call the town hospital next week and check on their accommodations for "adoptive" parents. I really don't want any resistance when I want to breastfeed the baby.
How often do you breastfeed a newborn? I realize there's a training period and that the sooner the bond and latch, the better. But then, after the first experience, how often would they nurse? Is there no schedule at first and you just keep trying every ????? hours.
