Hiya All!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my baby via C-section on 28th June.
Well! i was induced on 27th night & after 21 hours I just dialated 9 cms ( waited 2 hours to dialate to 10 but just didn't happen) so we opted for a c-section and my baby girl was born. She is 6 lbs 5 oz, 19" long.

I came after 5 days at the hospital but my baby had jaundice which docs now say is going down.
I hope soon her jaundice will be totally gone.

Thank U all for the support & valuable advice u gave me.

Hey D,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I hope you're getting that hard won baby to the breast...she deserves the best and that's your milk.

And if you haven't it's not too late to start. Contact a board certified lactation consultant near you to help you out. You can find one here www.iblce.org just click on the US or International registry depending on where you are located.

You may want to think about changing your username to "no longer desperate".... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Super Fantastic News!!! Thank you for sharing.

Congratulations!!!!! Sorry about the c section. We almost had that - up to 8 cm very quick then 2 + almost 3 hours there. They were talking c section. Water was broken and baby in 10 minutes. So I know-- it is hard to go that far and have them change plans.

Glad your home and all is well. Thanks for sharing- I was starting to get worried

Thank U all!

Today we went for my baby's 2 week checkup & the Pedi said her jaundice was going down & that we needn't worry!
That was a GREAT relief.
I'm breastfeeding her exclusively & doc said as long as she gained weight steadily she's getting enough.

I now have a question.
What should I eat to increase my milk supply!
R there any particular foods that I should eat to increase milk production?

SInce you gave birth and didn't do the protocol unless you are having trouble with your supply you should not need to eat or take anything special. Just make sure you are getting enough calories of good foods. I think it is 2000 calories per day? Lenore is that right? Although oatmeal certainly is good for you and won't hurt your supply. YOu could also take the herbs recommended on the protocol too if you need to. But most likely your supply is fine. How often are you nursing and how many wet diapers does your little one have each day?
