Hi!
I'm a newbie here.Need advice with my 2 pregnancy losses in a row.I'm 25 and have no children so far.My first pregnancy came as surprise to us.But after 5 weeks my HCG levels were dropping and so were my pregnancy symptoms. At the 7th week ultrasound they cudnt see a foetus.I was scheduled for a D&c later. After a couple of months I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My endo advised us not to get pregnant until the TSH levels were normal.I conceived again in may 05 .But my HCG levels had dropped by 4 weeks and I started bleeding after 5 weeks. My gyno is ready to do a workup with me..but I was wondering if I should see any other specialists...coz its really hard to go thro this each time.Does anybody has any referrals in richmond,VA?Hoping to get a reply.
Thanks

Dear DVN,

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. As a mother who lost 8 pregnancies to recurrent miscarriage, I understand how devasted you must feel.

The first thing is to get your thyroid issue under control. Next, you may want to investigate whether you have blood clotting issues. Here is an artile by Dr. Roger Bick that helps to explain recurrent miscarriage http://www.asklenore.info/miscarriage/print/bickp.html

My thoughts and prayers are will you.

Warmest regards,
