Hello everyone,

My baby girl is 3 months old, im soon going back to work, i started pumping but she is refusing to take my milk from a bottle!
Is it too late for her to adapt to artificial nipples?
Should I keep trying?
It's really frustrating to pump milk and then having to throw it away because she wouldnt take it from a bottle, and it makes me feel guilty for not trying before!!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
Any advice?!

Hi There,

First of all, please do not throw away your milk. It can stay in the freezer for up to a year. Most moms freeze their milk in Gerber or Lansinoh breastmilk storage bags.

Breastmilk can stay out at room temperature if needed for 8 hours unlike formula that has to be thrown away after an hour or so.

What bottles are you using? The AVENT system with one holed slow flow nipples seems to be a good bet for breastfed babies whose moms are going back to work. You''ll be able to continue to breastfeed your baby during your non-working hours.

Try this and let me know how it goes.

Best,
