I am currently having my 3rd miscarriage in 8 months, after one successful pregnancy -- my son will be 2 in 2 months. I have discovered (too late??) that unless I am pro-active in my search on miscarriage risks, my family doc is fairly un-responsive (I had to push for an ultrasound and HCG testing!). What types of tests should I be undergoing now -- I am only 6 weeks, but fairly sure I am having a miscarriage. What about after the miscarriage? Is there any specific blood work that I can have done to determine why this is happening so frequently? (Any good family docs/OBGYNs in the Toronto area????!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />)
Thank you.

Hi,

Let me first say how sorry I am for your losses. As a mother who lost 8 pregnancies before my sons were born I understand how devastated you must feel.

There may still be time to save the situation. There is a clinic in Toronto called LifeQuest. Please contact them ASAP and ask about their TERM program. They are miscarriage specialists. http://www.itstime.ca/alt/html/services.html#Anchor-MISCARRIAGE-35326

Please keep me posted on your progress. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Best,
