Okay, I am on the regular protocol and have been for 3 weeks. Now, I get a call saying that we are being considered for a sibling group-- a 6 month old and a 23 month old! If it goes through, I will get them this month! Now, what would happen if I need to cut this short??? I was planning on starting with a newborn, I assume I can at least give it a shot with a 6 month old?!?! HELP!

Thanks!
Holly

You can always pump and bottle feed if the 6 mo. old won't latch. In fact, even the 23 month old might enjoy a sippy cup full of mama's milk!! Don't give up and congrats!!!!!!! I am the mom of 2 adopted girls that are 10 1/2 months apart! It's amazing and I cherish every day with them.

2 beautiful adopted children through the fost/adopt system!! We were just placed with DD#1's bio-sis and we're hoping to adopt in 2007!

Stay on the protocol but you may have to switch to the accelerated which is just a shorter time frame. Definitely get yourself a lact-aid and make an appointment with a IBCLC to get a the little one to latch on. You will need the lact-aid so you can feed the baby before your milk is in. I would suggest you contact Lenore via email and get her input.
Wow, how exciting!!!!

Well, she decided to pick someone who didn't have kids... which is smart, I think. This way, they will get all the focus on them. (I have 3 year old twins)

So, I'm back on the wait... thanks for your replies! Looks like I'm still on the regular protocol track!
