I tend to get heartburn during my luteal phases. My docs don't think it's linked, but progesterone IS a smooth muscle relaxant and my esophageal sphintcer IS a smooth muscle. To me, this is a big DUH.

I thought that the dom and I would be a nice fit since it might make it all go down faster and NOPE. Big time progesterone and so big time heartburn.

Generaly antacids don't do much, I"m going to have to modify what I eat (hate that). Any chance I can stop the yasmin sooner than 30 days? It's actually been a week (i was wrong in my past post). I started taking it a week ago tuesday afternoon. And I feel so outrageously PMSed. Ack.

Anyone got any suggestions, helpful hints, encouragement, a protocol that would allow just a week of yasmin 8=)? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Get some prilosec OTC from Walmart. It may take 2 days to kick in. But its some good stuff. It will definetly cut the acid. No.. you have to have at least 30 days on the pills

Boy, do I feel for you. The Yasmin just makes me mean. LOL!! I am just MISERABLE on any sort of bcp (did a lot of them during my IVF days). Ugghhh....I don't know how women take them all the time for birth control.

Suffer through it if you can. Definitely do 30. I did 42 pills and was so thankful when I took that last pill. I had milk drops immediately and they have been coming many quicker and more of them since the Yasmin is now leaving/has left my body. Good luck! Keep up the good work!

Hi Ladies,

If you're not happy with the Yasmin, as your doctor about switching to the Ortho 1/35. I get PMS and I prefer it.

Best,

I used the ovcon 35 plus a progesterone adder and had good success.
