I have only been on the regular protocol for 3 weeks now, so 2 weeks since I bumped up to 20mg of dom 4x a day, and still on the active bcp's of course....

I was just wondering, at what point did you start to notice breast changes? Right now, the only thing I have noticed is that I've been bleeding off and on for 3 weeks, no breast changes at all. I have breastfed in the past (my bio. twins who are now 3), and so I'm interested to see how similar the feelings of "fullness" will be... or if I will have twinges or tingling or what?!? I am just curious to hear from you about your experience before you ended the bcp's.

Thanks in advance!
Holly

My breasts started changing after about two weeks on the Yasmin. I really noticed how full I was getting after about 6-8 weeks.

I noticed more PG symptoms than breast changes. I was nursing DD already at the time though so maybe that is why. Plus I had also breastfed bio children before. It was a different feeling. I know I did not go up a cup size.

Before I discovered this protocol, my LC friend told me to start the fenu and BT 3 caps 3 x/day and pump twice a day after 48 hours. I was also drinking Mother's Milk Tea and also an Alfalfa/Blessed Thistle/chamomile loose Tea Mix I bought online from Oasis. It is called the Prolactation Tea. There is also a powder called Power Booster which is ground Fennel Seed and Fenugreek seed. I began feeling the effects literally only about 48 hours after starting this. About 4 days after I started that regimen, I began having tiny wax beads form at the end of my right nipple during pumping which my LC said is normal and a great sign. It wasn't until about 2 weeks later that I discovered Dr. Newman and Lenore's websites and ordered the Dom from Global. Funny thing is that I started the Dom at 10 mg 4 times a day and the fullness and tingling went away! I emailed Dr. Newman and he told me to increase my Dom to 20 mg 4 times a day. That was 2 days ago and this morning, I am beginning to feel the fullness again. I think a lot of it is the individual's body. But, keep it up no matter what! You can do it! We all can! For our babies! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Hi Holly, Curiosity is getting the better of me.... I also have bio twins who are now four years old. I am now doing my first surro. journey with a singleton due in August. Were your twins through surrogacy? If not, any particular reason why you can't carry a preg. now.? I can't carry a child myself due to cardiac problems after the birth of my twins.

Thanks... Sorry for the delayed response! I have now been on the bcp and dom for 4 1/2 weekas, and I am starting to feel some breast changes. I guess since I have been pg I was trying to compare this to that, and the feelings just aren't as extreme with this approach!

I am having pg symptoms... what's weird is that I am having strong round ligament pain, which I had a lot of with my pg's.

Michele- Thank you about the Tea... Once I stop the bcp's and start pumping, I am sure I will be on Fenugreek (it helped to increase my supply with my boys), but now I will keep that in mind, too!

Punky- My twins weren't from surrogacy.... They were our 4th injectible/IUI cycle, and my 7th pregnancy. I had 2 miscarriages and 4 chemical pregnancies before them, and one chemical after them. I also 2 injectable cycles (one was IUI) since the boys. The reason we decided to hang up the towel on trying to get pg again is that, well, I'm not all that great at being pg when I do get pg... even with my boys, I went into preterm labor at 19 weeks and was hospitalized and 100% bedbound for 12 weeks. It was just life or death the whole 12 weeks in the hospital, and my boys were a true miracle... so we are afraid to push our luck again. I am sad about not getting pg again, I think that induced lactation is how I can feel "bodily" connected to my baby-to-be!

I kept a journal of my infertility/now adoption journey... www.aplusplussolutions.com/babies

So, you breastfed your twins? If so, sounds like you and I are in the same boat here! My boys just turned 3. I don't have a due date just yet, since we aren't matched. I just hope it is soon... I am already sick of waiting!

Holly

I have been on the regular protocol about 2 1/2 weeks I guess maybe 3 weeks but the one thing that I am feeling right now is that my breast are so tender it hurts for my hubby to touch or for me to brush up against anything!! Is this normal? I have not had any nausea just yet and have had no other signs I am big busted anyway so it is really hard for me to know if they are getting full or not!! I hope that what I am experienceing are regualr breast changes and pains I guess. Tia
