Hello, Since changing from Diane to Yasmin, I have started spotting. Also, on Diane my acne was almost gone, and on Yasmin I am breaking out really badly. I am surprised with a higher dose of progesterone that I am now spotting and never did with the Diane, I also have the uterine cramping to go along with it,,,kind of like a mini period. Has anyone else noticed any changes since switching? Also , definately more bloated than before. Thanks, Cathy

I have noticed more headaches with the Yasmin. And a lot more moody for the first few weeks. But I have no female organs.. so i can't help you there!

Hi Cathy,
The Diane 35 was actually marketed as an acne medication. Strangely enough, some women acutally got acne while on it while for others it cleared up their skin. Break through bleeding is a common problem on the protocol. I bled all the way through it and then once I started breastfeeding I didn't see "aunt flow" for a year.
It could be that your body is just adjusting to the different progesterone. The one in the Diane is anti androgenous. The one in the Yasmin is not. The symptoms should level out just as they do with a pregnancy. Remember, you're "chemically pregnant".
Hang in there. Fondly,

Hi Lenore, I am passing clots now, and having small amt bright red flow, unlike the spotting and darker old blood..(.sorry if this is to much description for some) and also some pretty bad cramping. I hope I do not have these cramps everyday for the next 2 months !. I am glad you said the hormones should level out. It's been one week. I can handle the bleeding, but the intense crampig I don't know. I guess I could take ibuprofin everyday for the next two months. Thanks alot, Cathy
