Hello! i am 4 weeks into the protocol, and i was just wondering how/if metabolife bothers the protocol. does anyone know? i don't want to start the metab if it will cause any negative reactions w/ the protocol. i know that it'd go into the milk, but how about before the pumping stage? thank you all! robin [color:"purple"] [/color]

Hi Robin,
Which one are you taking and for what reason? There are several different products. Please list the ingredients so I can give you an informed response.
Warmest regards,
Lenore Goldfarb, Ph.D.,CCC,IBCLC Wife to Rob, Mom to Adam aged 13, and Ethan aged 9, both born via GS and breastfed via Regular Newman-Goldfarb Protocol.

Hello, I had written a long response yesterday, I guess it did not go through. There have been discussions in past posts on the ABRW website about metabolife, you may want to check those out. Also, you may want to check if the product you want to use has ephedra in it,,,and if you have a history of high blood pressure, diabetes etc..you have to be carefull taking these products. Certainly, since you are not makig milk right now, it is not as much of an issue what you take. I would never take any diet pills while pumping or nursing. I have gained 35 lbs on the protocol. I am watching what I eat, but I know I was a size 5 prior to this and I will get there again after weaning our next child. Hang in there, Cathy
