Hi,
I have lurked for about a month and finally decided to post. I am currently on the Advanced Protocol and have 6 more days until my last Yasmin pill. I just called Baby USA today and had them reserve me a Lactina.
I really hope this works.
My background is the following:
I have a 9 month old son who has been formula fed b/c I never knew about Eping (exclusively pumping) I feel really uneasy about breastfeeding but wholeheartedly believe in the benefits of breastmilk. I also thought I couldn't safely pump b/c of an antidepressant that I am on. I found out when he was 7.5 months old that it was safe to do so. I was misinformed and decided to be proactive before it's too late.
Thanks for your time. [color:"purple"] [/color]

BCMom Welcome and thanks for posting. Kudos to you for being proactive. You are giving your child a wonderful gift. Will you be trying to get him to latch and nurse or strictly pumping and bottle feeding?
I am so proud of you. I didn't have a good nursing relationship with my first and gave up after 4.5 months. I wish I had the help that is available here. You are doing a great thing.

Please keep us posted. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I will be pumping and bottlefeeding him. Inducing lactation has been stressful enough just for me. I don't want to stress him out by putting him to breast when for 9 months he's been comforted by his bottles. He is such a good baby, I am so blessed to have him in my life.
Thanks for the compliments- it was really nice to hear.

Good for you for being willing to commit to getting him breastmilk in his bottles.

Today I pumped for the first time! I got this yellow waxy stuff. (sorry TMI)...but that's at least something right! Hopefully when I pump in a couple of hours I will get a drip or two...keeping my fingers crossed!
