I've been on the reg. protocol since Feb. I just finished the babymoon period of pumping and managed to pump 12 times per 24 hr. period. Now, I can pump every three hours -- yayy! I am still only getting minimal drops of milk - and from what I am reading that is normal - right? When will I see an increase? I just started menstruating today, so my hormone levels are decreasing. I start to get paranoid and wonder if the pump is working properly - you know?

Hi Punky,

I was on the accelerated protocol and when I started pumping it took me about a week before I was able to pump more than a few drops. The very first time I pumped, I got enough to almost cover the bottom of each bottle. Then within the first 48 hours, I was only able to get drops, sometimes nothing at all.

A week later (this was also after my period had ended), I was getting much more, and I was working my way toward a half ounce from each breast. So... I think you must be right on track.

Thanks dedicated... are you still pumping? I am at 4 -4.5 oz/24 hrs. Slow, but coming.... hard not to get frustrated.

I had to stop pumping because the adoption fell through. I went back on the protocol.
