Hi, Nona!
I am still on the fence, considering getting a Whittlestone. I know that you have been trying it, and I wanted to know your opinion of it. I know the opinions of some on the "other" boards, but wanted some unbiased opinions.
I know that when I was first starting out, I had gotten a Purely Yours, and you told me that I could try it, but I would be a lot better off with a PIS, which I now have. I am still on the protocol, day 155, and will be continuing until the first part of December, or we get a baby, whichever comes first. I just want to be sure I have everything prepared for when I need to start pumping.
Thanks for your input!
DawnL

Hello,
Okay this is my experience with the whittlestone. I really like how it works. But I do have to admit they are noisy. I have had them send me 3 pumps now...and it seems the one I just got yesteday makes the same grinding noise. It does not interfere with expessing though. I really like the technology behind it. It does feel as though you hav a baby at the breast. If you don't mind the loud annoyances that come from time to time from the expresser, it is good to have.

Nona,
When the Whittlestone makes that grinding noise you may want to try decreasing the suction (even just for a few seconds) and that might solve the problem.

I have..but it still does it. But not all the time.. At this point anyway. I just got this one yesterday. But I DO like the expresser
I just got mine today. It is SO LOUD. it sounds like someone is playing the TomToms and doing a rain dance in that little box! I'll let you know how it goes with my milk production. It is SO COMFORTABLE. <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
