Please tell me which pump you would recommend between these two-- Aventis hand pump or a Evenflo hand pump? Has anyone had any experience with either of these??

Thanks,

I have only used the Avent hand pump, this was to express while my bio son was still small for that rare bottle (which he would never take)
Anyway I found it to work fine, it is comfortable, I like the petal flanges. I did sometimes lose suction on it and would have to readjust it.
If you are looking at pumps for inducing lactation though these are not good for that. The PIS is highly recommended. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks Lalle,

I do have a PIS but I thought it would be nice to have a hand held one that I didnt have to plug in all the time (more versitle in the vehicles, less bulk to carry around, ect..) so I thougth I would look into getting one of these. Just didnt know which one was the best.

Thanks,
Shelley

p.s. Ladies do you have any other opinions on either of these or experience with either of these?

Never heard good things about the Evenflo pump. I know that Medela makes a small one that you can put batteries in. May not be good for the majority of the pumping, but probably better than the Avent for your "portable" needs.

Shelly

The PIS has a car adapter that you can plug in to the "lighter" like you do your cell phone charger. It would not "lighten" your load in respect to lugging around the PIS, but you could use it in the car then. I have heard great things about the AVENT hand pump, but have no personal experience.
