Hello Ladies,

Haven't posted in a while. Our little one is doing really well. She is six months old now and continues to breastfeed. We didn't use any bottles at all for the first 2,5 months, then I had to go back to work, so we started her on the Avent Newborn. This went well, no nipple confusion at all, she takes the bottle without problems and nurses with the lact-aid whenever I am around. My husband takes her to the office at noon and I nurse her in the garage, I also pump 2-3 times a day at work to keep my milk supply going.

My question is - do I really keep using the newborn nipples for as long as she takes bottles?

She is using a different bottle for juice as the nipple gets too clogged.

She also takes mashed fruit and purees.

For her breastmilk Yes ... keep using the newborn nipples. Since they are slower flow. If you went to the medium flow you risk the possibility of your little one getting frustrated at the breast because the milk flow is slower than her bottle. Its okay about different nipples for the juice. Your baby is used to the fact that "juice" comes in a different nipple. But "mamas milk" needs to come in the same avent nipples. So she will transition to the breast stays smooth
