I should have come by a month ago, but time flies when you have a babe in the house!

Baby W has been home since June, but is currently here as a foster placement, Court date is next month to get a formal guardianship order.

Haven't had him to breast as I said above he is here as a foster babe, and I am living in place where BF-ing him would be a big no no.

I got really lax in my meds and pumping as adjusting to an infant was harder than I thought! I am back on the meds, and getting drops, and will start pumping tomorrow. I have been feeding him skin to skin, and keeping him close just like bf-ing, and have him on the avent bottles.

We are all overjoyed. Our kids love him, as do dh and I!

I will post pics once the adoption order has been granted!

Just thought I'd pop by with an update! The baby is now 11 months old, and ready to walk! We have a guardianship order, and the final adoption order will come through in the spring!

I had some major issues getting him to latch, and never got much more than an oz a day with pumping. We decided that the stress just wasn't worth it. Especially with two other kids to think about as well.

Thankfully I was able to pass on my leftover Domperidone and herbs to a mom waiting for a match. I still lurk here on occaision, and wish everyone great success!

Congratulations Catlady!
What a wonderful Mom to help a baby in need. You have a wonderful family. Are you thinking of Number 4????

Here I am, in bliss, with our second daughter that we are adopting. Still yet to terminate birthfather and other "fathers" rights. Then we finalize.

I tried breastfeeding her and was waylaid by my extreme tiredness, a two-week flu with 102 degrees for six days, then a strained shoulder with megadose ibuprofen and loss of use of that arm for 5 days. My pumping went by the wayside but I was still producing an ounce each time from the domperidone.

I've since weaned off the domperidone but my supply took a dive. It didn't stay constant. We still have breastfeeding sessions every feeding but I'm struggling to maintain the 1/2 ounce that I'm producing. Pumping's back on, herbs and oatmeal.

We still enjoy what we have together.

Good luck to you and congratulations for the persistence, courage, patience and wherewithal to grow your family.
