Ok, I purchased a limerick and a pump in style. However my lactation consultant said I still need to rent a lactina (because it's hospital grade and the one recomeneded for relactation.) Is that still necessary or can I relactate with the limerick and the pis. (I have heard some many good things about both, I couldn't decide.) I will go ahead and rent one for a month if it will help. But I don't know if I actually will, any thoughts?

I have a limerick and think that it is better than the hospital pump that I rented. The limerick acts more like the way my baby sucks. The hospital pump hurt me! Made my nipples sore. I really like the limerick. Thats my opinion.

Janeen you do not need a hospital pump for inducing lactation. Have you printed of the protocol and given her a copy? We used to just recommend the PIS and along came the Limerick. Both Nona and Lenore tested this pump out while it was being developed. It is the best from what I understand. The PIS is still good too.
I would not rent a pump you have two excellent pumps that hundreds of women have used to induce lactation with.
