Hello - I have a question about this...

I am on regular protocol and have been for about 9 weeks now - last week af came but doesn't seem to want to leave!!!! It was a normal af for about 5 days and now I just have breakthrough amounts every day (it's been about 2 weeks now). Is this normal? Any ideas?

I am on Ortho 1/35 which I take every morning with my dom, only active pills, and 20 mg dom/ 4 times a day.

Thank you!

the exact same thing happened to me. I was on the accelerated for 39 days. When it was time for af it lasted for 11 days. Then af didnt come after stopping the bc pill that is ok with me!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> and that was way over a month ago.

Breakthrough bleeding is common. and a pain in the butt.
I was on the protocol for 9 months last time. I finally stopped and started pumping, even though we had no baby in sight, because I was tired of dealing with the breakthrough bleeding.
It will get better, but it will be back. Everyone is different, and there's really no way to know when it will stop. I always wore a pantyliner, as I never knew what was going to happen.
I had a full supply for ds, though, so it was totally worth it.

Whew! I'm so glad I found this thread! I have been on the reg protocol for about 2 months ago, and just started to get breakthough bleeding 2 days ago. I thought it was because I took the BCP a couple hours late a few days ago. I'm so glad it is normal!
