I am 37 years old, I have 3 bio sons ages 17, 16, and 9. All Breastfed. I am a registered nurse and have worked in OB for the last 3 1/2 years. This is my second marriage and I have the most fabulous husband in the world. We had always talked about adoption and thought we would after a bio child. We have had 3 miscarriages (2 in the past year) No explanation, had genetic testing. We were planning to adopt overseas, and then someone we know became pregnant and asked us to be the parents to her child!!!!!

Our overseas agency told us to continue to fill out paperwork because 6 months after this child is placed with us our next child can be placed! WOW!
We have started the paper work for this child and will really get busy after Christmas.

My husband and I decided to that I should give breastfeeding a try. I was so impressed with the induced lactation protocal. Very good details and instructions. I loved BF my sons and we were very successful. I had sooooo much milk. I could have fed the nieghborhood. Does that make any difference with induced lactation? I am now on the regular protocal for 1.5 weeks. I am feeling heavy and a bit tender but my cylce was supposed to start about now too. Is it working already?

peace,

Yes, it probably is working already. Many moms experience changes as well as "feel" pregnant in just a couple weeks on the protocol. You will be so thrilled to nurse your adopted babies after having the experience of nursing your bio children. I did. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
