Hi all

I'm just having a moan really but I need some encouragement!

I'm getting so disheartened that I've started missing pumping sessions and I know that's the last thing I should do!

I couldn't take the pill so I'm inducing by pumping, taking dom and all the herbs.

I have been doing this for a couple of months and I have milk but I was really disappointed to see that when I measured the collected drops they only came to 0.2ml. I was gutted. I thought I'd at least have one ml.

Does this sound normal?

I only introduced the BTH and Fenugreek a week ago but it hasn't made any difference yet. Do you think it will? I've been on Goat's Rue for ages but again, I'm not sure it's made any difference.

I WILL suceed, I promise! But can anyone please tell me this is normal, add this, do that....? Any suggestions are VERY gratefully received!

When my daughter was first born I didn't know about the protocol or anything really other than getting a lact-aid and taking Mothers Milk tincture. I started off nursing her on day 2 with the lact-aid full of formula. I loved nursing her. It was a little akward at first with the lact-aid but a piece of scotch tape holding the tube helped and we were off to a great breastfeeding relationship. (I had nursed my two older bio children prior to this) Once I arrived home with her and spent a couple weeks with the lact-aid at times feeling fullness in my breasts and even occasional letdown... I added Dom and produced even more milk. About 1/3 of what she was taking. When she was almost a year (we were doing some feeds without the lact-aid.) I heard about the protocol. Short after I went on the accelerated program and after I produced all the milk she was taking at 14-15 months Yes she was eating solids at this point too. She nursed until she was 2 without any supplement and even into a surprise pregnancy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Hang in there Bunnykims and be faithful to pump. It will all be worth it in the end. Do you have a lact-aid? Having the baby at breast while supplementing will only help your supply once he/she gets here.

Hang in there...I would also suggest you try using hand compression as well..Sometimes the skin to skin contact helps get the milk supply going. Inaddition, I wonder if increasing your Dom usuage to the max..3 caps 4x's a day would help. Maybe Dr. Lorenze would have some advice on this. But since you started without the protocol, maybe it will help. You seem to be doing the right things...and you got some drops and drops turn to ounces and so on...Now is not the time to skip but the time to stay with it...you have something and that is what counts..keep it up! You will succeed..

Hi Ladies

Thank you so much for your posts. It means a lot that there is support out there even though I guess you are all the way over the pond in the USA!

I'll email Lenore about increasing my Dom, thanks for the tip. I didn't know it was possible to take more. I've just bought some different Goat's Rue as I'm not convinced about the liquid I had. And capsules are more convenient anyway. I've also now got my baby's heartbeat on tape to play as I pump.

Thanks again - it means a lot that you are there.
