Hi Everyone,
Well, I tried increasing the dom to 120mg/day. It definitly worked a little by day 3 or 4...I went from making 1.25 ounces a day to almost 2 ounces a day. HOWEVER, my weight shot right up. I had started a very healthy "diet" about 3 weeks before and lost about 3# and within 4 days of increasing the dom the weight was back on.My mental health just can't take more weight gain. I am already up 16# from this protocol and so I made the decision that 1/2 ounce per day is not worth the weight gain. I have backed down on the dom to 80mg/day and have seen a slight decrease in production, but not as much as I thought I would. I have also stopped taking the fenugreek with no decrease in production..(never saw an increase with it..)
We leave for Ethiopia in 5 short days!! After 14 months in the process, we are soooo excited. I have my pump, SNS, shield etc. all ready to go. I am not expecting her to latch...it would be great if she did but we will work on it more when we get her home. Thanks to all and I will update when we get home.
Melanie

I was thinking the same thing. HOW did the time get here so quickly. If you haven't already thought of it wear your baby girl a lot, A sling or a wrap is a wonderful thing for bonding.
I am so excited to hear your news when you return.

Wow Melanie, 5 short days and your dream will come true. I'm so excited for you.

thanks for the update aout the domp. Weight gain seems to be a must with the protocol, I have gained 25 pounds in 5 motnsh so far :-) Thank God I was a skinny thing before I started.

Like you, fenugreek has done nothing to me. I guess we'll have to be satisfied with our little supply and pray our babies miraculously will increase that supply once they strat nursing.

I'm so happy you get to finally hold your precious princess in 5 days, cherish her and enjoy being a mommy. Good luck.

I'll be expecting another update from you once you're home, safe and sound with your baby girl.

(Hugs)
