Hi All! I am on day 4 of pumping and my nipples are SOOO sore! no bleeding, no swelling, and blisters...nothing like that. Just very painful, especially when I first begin to pump. After a few minutes of pumping, the pain goes away. I am using a hospital grade medela symphony and a medela PIS (one upstairs and one downstairs as I have a 2 and 3 year old so the options makes it MUCH easier to find time to pump.) Please help! smile

Have you tried using Lanolin on your nipples before you pump? That helped me. A little bit goes a long way.

I have also heard olive oil on the nipples can help. It will lessen as your nipples toughen up.
