Hi everyone!!

It's been an amazing 20 days!! Hubby and I got word of our approval on 7/11 - we were notified that a BM was looking at our profile on 7/16. We spoke to BM for the first time on 7/24 after she had looked through 30 profiles - she had narrowed her selection to 2 families. We received word that she had delivered on 7/28 and that she was still undecided.

I stopped the protocol after 103 days and began pumping on 7/29.

7/31 - the agency called - SHE PICKED US!! After hearing the news - I pumped a 1/2 oz in 20 minutes. After 2 days of pumping, I am collecting 2 oz. of - an orangey-milky substance per day. I am pumping 10 times a day including 2 middle of the night pumps- the second day, each pump was drawing about 1/2 an ounce. I think this is good!!

We won't be able to pick-up our baby until next week. BMs parents want to see baby and there's a BF that needs to send in his waiver - he has already verbally agreed to the adoption - it's just a matter of getting his signature - the agency's legal department is working on this!! Hopefully, this will be a non-issue.

We are so excited! I am so happy that I found this website and became a part of your on-line family. Without reading about your experiences and words of wisdom - I would never have gone this far! AND I would never be making that liquid gold to give to my first child - our son!
