Hi Lenore and Ladies!!

About 6 months ago - all of you helped me to develop about a 40% supply for my adopted son. Lenore - I don't know if you remember me - but I went to your son's bris (sp?) in Houston!

Anyways - I stopped brestfeeding after 4 months because my supply started to dry up significantly - and lo and behold - 2 months later I found out that I am pregnant the natural way!!! After 5 inseminations and 3 in vitro attempts - Hubby and I were extremely shocked and surprised. We are 81/2 weeks along and all seems fine so far.

The doctor seems to think the protocol may have jumpstarted my body in some way - he has no idea - it's just speculation. Has this happened before?

Renee

oh yes this has happened before! I myself have heard of alot of women who had problems with pregnancy. Some trying for years. Then after doing the protocol and nursing an adopted baby.. they are surprised to find themselves pregnant. I am so happy for you congrats!

Hey Renee!!! Hey Nona!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to both of you!!!!!! Yes, Renee, it's happened before, mostly with ladies who have PCOS. For some reason, the protocol seems to reset their systems. Can't explain it....

Enjoy!!! And please give my best to everyone in Houston.

Fondly,

Congratulations!!!
It happened to me. I went on the accelerated protocol in Nov of 2001, I was already nursing my adopted daughter who 14 months at the time. I stopped the pill Early January and got pregnant April 12 2002. My son was born Dec. 21, 2002. I never had any trouble getting pregnant my husband had gotten a vasectomy and had a reversal in May of 2000 and we had not gotten pregnant even though we were having unprotected intercourse for almost 2 years. So we were in the infertile catagory. I have to think that the protocol helped in some way. <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> I continued to nurse my daughter until I was about 6 months along and she gave it up.

My doctor thinks it was for us. We got pregnant in October 2002 and delivered in JUly of 2003.First time after 14 + years of unprotected sex with dh and two adoptions later. Still nursing from this pregnancy & doctor thinks my best chance if I want another is the cycle right aft.er we stop
nursing.
