Thanks Nona,
I am already pumping 8x a day, I drink to thirst, which usually is at least 2 quarts of water a day, plus one decaf sugar free soda and one cup of 1/2 strength coffee. I also have a cup of herbal tea. I even pumped every two hours for 24 hours straight and only got 2.3 cc total for 12 pumpings. I guess I am not made to make breast milk. Funny, both my sisters made ton's of milk, dripping down their shirts and down thier chests. My head nurse had a 3 month old and she is pumping 10 ounces in one sitting...she is going to start donating me any extra milk she has for me to put in my freezer.
My last rsort is to try the Whittlestone in addition to the PIS. I am also on the waiting list to rent a Lactina. My nipples hurt alot, so I am hoping the Whittlestone will be easier on them. But, we may have a baby girl as early as next week, so I am running out of time to increase my supply. I thought giving myself one month of pumping would be all I would need.
I am so glad you are doing well, we all appreciate your expertise in so many area's. Thanks, Cathy

Nona,
Just wanted to send you a hip hip hooray! Keep up the good work. By the way I tried your suggestion of squeezing on the sides of the horn and it works great.

Curious about donating milk. What are some of the guidelines? I am not always good about sterilizing everyday. Do the moms boil the milk before they use it? If I get a full supply before my baby comes I think that I may want to look into this possibility. I think that it would be hard to use up all the milk for my baby if I already had a full supply. At this point I want to wait until my supply builds and also to see if we get a baby soon. Also who pays for the shipping those who donate or those getting the milk? Any thoughts you had would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bella

Bella,
No the mommies don't boil the milk. Just normal cleanliness is fine. Everything doesn't have to be sterilized. If you donate. .. The mommy will send you a cooler with a fedex number. You would fill the cooler to the top with milk and send it back to her overnight shipping with the fedex number she supplies. You do NOT need to put dry ice on it. I have sent tons of milk without it ... and it stays frozen like a rock. The mommy will even replace the bags you use. So your not out anything

I am glad the trick of pressing the sides of the horn into your breast works. <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" />
