Hi Lenore,
I wanted to give you an update on my vist with Dr. Bick. It went much better then I expected! I really expected to have to run more tests, since up to the last two tests they hadn't completed as of Tuesday, nothing had been found. The last two tests came back positive, they know what I have and we can start dealing with it. The first one is MTHFR 1298 Mutation or Homocyst(e)ine. Ok, I will admit, I don't quite know how to describe it accept that I know he is treating it with extremely high doses of b vitamin and folic acid (prescription strength - I will be filling them today).
I also have a clotting disorder which is Fibrinolytic. I haven't had time to research this yet, or read the materials he gave me, but he said that the highest chance I have for successfully having a baby is if I start taking aspirin now (have been since my first visit), and then heparin shots twice a day for the entire nine months, but they must be started immediately after I find out I am pregnant. He has already written the prescription, just in case he is out of town when I get pregnant )
Overall I have to say I am so much happier now then I have been in the past two months, just knowing the problem gives me more relief than I ever thought possible.
Well, I am off to get my prescriptions filled and get a home pregnancy test (just in case...)
Thanks so much for Listening, I will keep you posted.

Please tell Dr. Bick that we think he's pretty amazing over here, a genius in fact. And that there are many, many mothers that are being helped daily just by reading his research paper and learning that they are not alone.
You helped a lot of moms today dear friend. Please keep us posted on your progress.
Fondly,
Lenore Goldfarb, Ph.D.,CCC,IBCLC Wife to Rob, Mom to Adam aged 13, and Ethan aged 9, both born via GS and breastfed via Regular Newman-Goldfarb Protocol.
