I did the regular protocol for about 6 months and started pumping about 4 weeks before baby's due date. My supply got up to 20oz per day. 30mins after baby was born, we did skin to skin and I breastfed him; his latch was very good. He is now 2 weeks old and is nursing on demand ever since birth (mostly every 2-3hrs). I still pump sometimes after feeding so as not to feel too full. We have had two follow-up appointments and he is nicely gaining weight. I have not had any need to use a lactation consultant or the lact-aid. I'm glad I can exclusively breastfeed. I am so greatly to this website, Lenore's help and that of you wonderful ladies. Thanks a lot.
