I have been wanting to post this for a while but I kept forgetting to. In August we went to an Amusement Park, Knoebels Grove. Imagine my surprise when I saw a sign that said Nursing Mothers Center. I got all excited thinking that I could pump there but later I realized that I did not have my adaptor cord.
There was a bathroom, playarea with a tv, and three rooms with doors on them, the rooms each had a wonderful glider rocker, changing table and had cute baby wallpaper border. I was impressed never before in such a public place had I seen anything quite like it.
I asked how all of this came to be and I was told that a women made the comment,"How would you like to eat your lunch sitting on a toilet." The park person that she made the comment too told her to talk to the owners of the park. Well after talking with the owners the Nursing Mothers Center became a reality. The park is hoping that other parks follow their example and do something similiar.
I am curious to know if parks in other areas do anything like this?
Thanks, Bella

WOW. I think that is so awesome. I hope many places will take this example. Here in the states it seems that breastfeeding is something that should be hidden, or that is "dirty". Breastfeeding should not be considered that by any means. I can not wait to be able to nurse our baby and do it knowing how much it took to be able to accomplish something so beautiful. Now I recently saw on the news a mother that was being charged for nursing while driving. That, I do not agree with at all. But to have little nursing stations, WOW. Maybe they could have them at rest stops and so on someday. Thanks for this post! It was nice to see this.
