Welcome to the Ask Lenore Forums!

This board hosts a diverse group of members who are either seeking support or wish to support others. Most of us have been through or are in the process of going through the experience of infertility, recurrent miscarriage, or surrogacy which can be daunting, frustrating, expensive, devastating and confusing. Many of us have been able to breastfeed our baby(ies) who were born to us and others such as myself were able to induce lactation (without benefit of pregnancy) for their baby(ies) who where born via adoption or surrogacy. Many members are currently breastfeeding and facing the rewards and challenges that this entails.

If you are currently experiencing similar situations you will find members here who are ready and willing to offer support and guidance. If you have experienced any of these situations, please share your experience with us so that others may benefit from your support.

Please register a user name so that you can benefit from the "new posts" and "my home" features. All you require is a User Name, Password, and valid Email Address. Just click on "New User"; and follow the prompts. There is a function in "My Home" that allows to keep your personal email address private while enabling you to receive private messages from other members as well as choose your own personal preferences for viewing the Ask Lenore forums.

Welcome and Enjoy!!!

Warmest regards,
Lenore Goldfarb

Hi Lenore!

I just discovered your new message board. Congratulations to you and Sandy for the great work. As you know, my adopted DD and I benefitted from the NG protocol and all your other help. I'm so happy that you are continuing your great service. I also want you to know that I just finished reading your story about Adam's birth on this site and I ended up bawling. (It exposed a side of you that has been hidden from me). I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post my thanks and congratulations but there it goes anyway. I'm also happy to see here friends whom you have helped before supporting you and this website.

Hugs,
Liche

Welcome Liche!!!

So nice to see you. Thank you for your thoughtful comments. We worked very hard to get this message board up and running within a week of the demise of the Ask Lenore forum at ABRW. Sandy worked tirelessly to get the main website ship shape and the message boards operational. She really deserves all the credit. I had pneumonia and was out of commission for the first little while.

We are continuing to work on the website daily. If you go to the breastfeeding section you will notice that we have added some new articles and a link to some very good video clips.

We are working to update the infertility section, hoping to add a list of infertility centers across the world. If anyone has any suggestions for the site please feel free to post them. If you have worked with a doctor who you found particularlity helpful whether it be for infertility, recurrent miscarriage, breastfeeding or general baby care, please let us know. If you come across any interesting articles or information, again, please let us know. This website is open to suggestions.

Thank you again for your support and encouragement.

Fondly,

Lenore Goldfarb, Ph.D.,CCC,IBCLC

Hi Lenore,
What a wonderful message board . While reading the Gazette paper today I seen the section " How non-birth Mothers are breastfeeding". I'm looking for lots of info on this subject. Look forward to knowing everyone.

Thanks for posting the address of the article. It was very interesting and so positive about adoptive breastfeeding. It said that you had recently become a registered lactation consultant- congratulations for passing the ILCA exam.

Hi Lenore!

We spoke by email last week. I just discovered your Message Boards and registered as a newbie!

I am expecting my first baby through straight Surrogacy, due mid June 2004. I'm very keen and interested in your protocol and I'm hoping to start the NG Regular Protocol over the next week or so. I am so excited!

Unfortunately I don't have any support from my GP/doctor here, but there is a specialist breastfeeding midwife at my local hospital who is willing to help me through the progress.

Thank you very much for kindly responding to my emails and I look forward to chatting to you and the rest of your members online! <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Love
Andria

Induced lactation and breastfed for 8 months, now doing it a 2nd time for surrobabe due Jan 2008!
