Hi! I've been in contact w/Lenore (great lady!!!), but just wondering if anyone out there has been in my situation.
I have a 5 y.o.and 3 1/2 year old son/s who are biological.
I have been nursing non-stop for 5 1/2 years now, but my 3 yo is weaning. We are adopting in the fall and I want to sustain a supply by pumping through till the fall. HAS ANYONE RELACTED in a situation similar to mine? Just looking for support and advice. I just started pumping on Friday and am just getting 1 drop each time!!!!!! (Of course, I am thankful for even that one drop) Thanks, Mindy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

mindy... I would suggest getting on a pumping schedule. Also you need to get some domperidone. It will get your prolactin levels up. Also take the herbs blessed thistle and fenugreek. 3 capsules 3 times a day. Eat oatmeal and make sure your getting water. Since your ducts have been working they should kick in again. But do get the herbs and domperidone

Adoptive mommy to 4 , Last 2 adopted nursed. Youngest nursed till she was 5! Raising 2 grandbabies, as infants they were raised on donor breast milk smile
