Lenore,
Do you know of another source for the Yasmin.. that does not take a script?

The Yasmin sounds like a much better bcp. The fact that I will not retain so much water weight will be great. It will also help the ladies who have high bp from the bcp. I also need a source without a script. My gyn will not give me a script for anything over the strength of the low dose micro bcp, I gave her copies last year of the protocols and she seemed very interested. Is Yasmin available without script? I only need maybe 2 more months of the bcp before I will start pumping.
Let us know as soon as you find out anything.
Thanks,
Cathy

Cathy,
Me to! I need about another 2 months worth.. That will give me 6 months on the protocol. I am also one of those ladies that the bcp raises my blood pressure. Have to take meds to combat that until I am off the bcps. We have been told about a baby due in may... hopefully she will place.. So 2 more months will be about right for me. Now if Lenore knows of a place <img src="http://www.asklenore.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/blush.gif" alt="" />) ??

Hi Ladies,

I'm working on finding a source. I'm going to contact our favourite in NZ to see if they'll help us out.

As for the text at the bottom of your post Nona, I'll see if I can find out what's causing it. It looks like it's in the signature.

Fondly,

Hi Ladies,

Here you go http://www.yasmin-birth-control-pill.com They provide free medical consultation online.

I haven't heard from Planet Pharm yet due to the time change.

Yikes! The Yasmin is 80.00 for a 3 month supply ughhh! I think I will just stick with the Diane.. and up my asprin from 1 baby asprin a day to 1 full asprin daily. I want to be on it atleast 6 months.. So I have 2 more months to go.

Hi Nona,

You're better off with the Yasmin because baby aspirin may not prevent deep vein thrombosis which can lead to pulmonary embolism. The source listed above is the only one I could find at the moment but I'm hoping that Planet Pharm will come through for us. I suggest that you speak with your doctor about a prescription. You may find it at a much lower price that way.

Nona,
I do not have high bp from the pill, but I was reading that Yasmin should help with that,,,you should not retain as much water weight on it as the other bcp's. My usual bp is 90/50,,,, while on Diane and also gaining 30 lbs, my bp is 145/70,,,so it definately did go up, but I am not to the point of meds yet. I hope I can stay on it another 2 months or so. You are very lucky to be getting a newborn 'match" as well as having found a surrogate. Our agency offered us twins in Guatemala, a boy and a girl, just born 2 days ago...but they want double the fee....that will put us well over 40 grand for the twins,,,I told them we had to think about it. If only we could win the lottery! take care, Cathy
