My daughter was doing well and gaining weight after losing a normal amount after she was born, but ater 10 days of exclusive nursing she was down to 7lbs 11 oz. That was 3 oz less than her birth weight. I've been seeing a really great lactation specialist since that day. My daughter is now nursing and then getting formula to make up for what she is not getting at the breast. Two and a half years ago I had the same problem with my son. The cause was never determined at that time. I have found out, this time around, that I have hypothyroid and have been taking synthroid and also reglan to help make more milk. I would take dom, but am unable to get it in the US. I would appreciate any advice that anyone has for me. Thanks

erin the reglan is really bad news. Lots of side effects... You can order dom from globaldrug without a perscription. Let me go find their website for you.
They ship fast and are a reputable company out of New Zealand.
Are you giving your baby formula in a bottle? If so I would highly suggest that you get a lact-aid supplemental nurser so that she will get her nourishment at your breast and thereby stimulate your production.
Is your consultant Internatonally board certified? IBCLC is an extensive program with long training. Has your babies latch been checked and corrected if necessary? Are you pumping after feeds?

Hi there! You can also get "More Milk Special Blend" and it contains Goat's Rue, dried fenugreek seed, blessed thistle leaf, nettle leaf & fennel seed. I think Lenore sells it, but, if not, you can get it from www.motherlove.com. It is used to build mammary tissue and increase milk production. It is also used for women who have had breast tissue damage such as breast reduction/augmentations or any type of damage that has occurred in the breast tissue. It is highly recommended by EVERY LC that I know and is recommended by our pediatricians at our hospital for those mom's who have low milk production. It is a concentrated tincture that you can put into a couple ounces of water or I drop it into my tea. The taste is one that is easy to get used to "in my tea" but, not sure how it is on its own, but, it doesn't smell bad, either. I am using it to BF an upcoming adoption. After using it for only 3 days, I have DEFINITELY noticed a difference!! Hope that helps! Oh, and yes, you can order the dom from www.globaldrug.tv and you get it in about 2 weeks. Just about anything you need to order for this protocol is on their website. I have been very happy with them!

Best Wishes! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> [color:"green"] [/color]
