I haven't posted in a very long time, since I was breastfeeding my adopted daughter last year. But I am desperate to get this info out to help this new baby I heard about!
Just got a visit at home from the attorney that finalized our adoption of our baby last year. He is in a bind and needs to find an adoptive family FAST. He has an African American birthmother who is 33 weeks along with an African American baby. Her blood pressure is a bit high, so she could deliver at any time, and there is no adoptive family yet. There is no drug or alcohol use that he is aware of, and he does not know the sex of the baby. It would be local here in Lake County, Florida. She hasn't yet decided if she wants no contact after placement, or if she wants semi-open. She already parents a child and is going to nursing school. She is very committed to her adoption choice. Birthfather is not an issue. Fees will be less than $10,000 which you get back from your adoption tax credit anyway. This is an AWESOME situation!
There is also another biracial baby girl due in a few months he is trying to find parents for, also, and it also is a really good situation!!!
If you know of ANYONE that would be interested, please have them call attorney Brian Welke on his cell phone at 352-408-5671.
Thank you!

Joybells thank you for posting this. I am going to talk to DH and see if he would be open to this. We have wanted another baby and our son is 3.5 and I haven't conceived again. We would have to get our homestudy updated I am not sure what else.
Thanks, Laurie

Oh and who should I tell the lawyer told me? I certainly can't refer to you as joybells. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I am sorry, of course! My name is Joy Langley. If you are serious, you would need to call him ASAP as we did a lot of networking yesterday to find a home, and I know he has spoken to two so far... good luck!

thanks Joy After much consideration Hubby and I decided this was not the right time for us. We are praying for those babies that they will find the right parents.

Hello...
It looks like our adoption plans for our baby due in Aug may have fallen through... we bought everything preparing for a little girl... is the little girl you are speaking of still looking for her home?? What state is the baby going to be born in? Do you know the due date?
Thanks so much!!
